East Coast Christian University (ECCU) is a Christian college whose primary goal is to build up believers who know who and whose they are and train them to effectively utilize the tools God has given them.
Our classes are held in the East Coast Children’s Ministry Building at 680 N. Courtenay Pkwy. Merritt Island, FL 32953. Online classes are also available.
Tuition toward Associate and Bachelor degrees is $175.00 per undergraduate course (10 per year); therefore the total for one year is $1750 plus books.
This is just over half the cost of tuition at Eastern Florida State College(EFSC). EFSC tuition is $312/class or $3120/yr for residents and over $1200/class or $12,000/yr for nonresidents.
There are zero registration or administrative fees.
When auditing a course, attendees enjoy the same access to lectures, notes, and other resources as degree-seeking students without quizzes, exams, papers or presentations.
Yes, our alumni association has developed a scholarship fund; donors are also able to support individuals or whole populations (such as missions organizations). Regardless, we prefer that students contribute some time or money to their education; for, when they work for it, it becomes more valuable.
We are weighing the options relating to the GI Bill and National/Regional Accreditation. Two (2) factors have given us pause to reflect at this time. First, we are pouring into people’s lives and the Kingdom; it makes sense and is preferable for the members of the Kingdom to pour back into the students (like missions). As mentioned above, we maintain the lowest of cost (~50% of a state college). Second, government subsidy equals government influence. We desire to teach God’s word undiluted and without external influence. As mentioned above, our Alumni Association is developing scholarship funding and many of our students already receive anonymous and direct support from donors. Don’t let money or the lack thereof keep you from obeying God’s call on your life. If you make the discision to follow His lead, He will provide.
